Allaire Tuesday Beginner Rides return!

Starting April 9th 2013 @ 6pm sharp (conditions permitting), JORBA will bring back a very fun weekly event...the Allaire Tuesday Beginner Group Ride. Our rides are for the beginner or folk not familiar with Allaire, we all ride in one group, and we are only as fast as the slowest rider so you don't have to worry about being dropped. Speed demons need not apply, and leave the Heart Rate Monitors at home. We also have a great cast of characters that are happy to give you tips on how to avoid some of the bumps and bruises we've all experienced.

Forest Stewardship Plan for Weldon Brook WMA

JORBA has been acting as a representative for the Mountain Bike community to the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife for several years. This effort has helped us maintain, and expand access to Wildlife Management Area (WMA) trails. These lands have been preserved primarily to, maintain water quality and provide habitat for wildlife, including endangered species. Unlike state parks, which are developed and funded for recreation, WMA’s are managed with a priority on wildlife.

Closures at Ringwood State Park

Construction on pipeline has started between Shepherds Lake and Mahwah. All trails and roads (Whites Road) that lead to the pipeline are temporarily closed. Jorba will run it's spring trail build sessions out of Ryerson school. Parking at Ramapo Mountain State Forest (top of Skyline Dr) should not be affected by this closure. Trails connecting into Ringwood south of Whites Rd should also not be affected.

Please see message from superintendent:

The current project is scheduled to begin as early as tomorrow and last
through April 15, 2013.
