2012 JORBA/KESWICK MTB Skills Clinic Series at Kresson Trails

2012 JORBA/KESWICK MTB Skills Clinic Series at Kresson Trails in Cherry Hill.

We are reviving the Jersey Action Riders (JAR) skills clinics for 2012 with some old and new partners. JORBA and Keswick Cycles, with support from the Cherry Hill Environmental Advisory Committee, the Cherry Hill Department of Parks & Recreation, and Sustainable Cherry Hill, will be hosting a free, mountain bicycling skills clinic series at the Kresson Trails in Cherry Hill, NJ. The series will run the third Saturday of each month from April through October from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Rain will cancel.

Thanks to Brian and Dave with Keswick Cycle, who will partner with us to run and support the clinics. Brian was supportive of the DVMBP/NMBP patrol in the Wissahickon back in the day, and Dave is an ole JAR rider going back to the GGC rides and the races at Seven Springs. John T., the architect of the Kresson trails and JAR alumn, is also assisting with the series.

The clinics, based on the successful series we ran for 8 years at various locations including the Gloucester County College trails, will focus on the fundamentals of mountain biking including:

•basic bike setup
•trail repairs
•trail etiquette
•and equipment

What do you need to bring? A bike in good working condition, a helmet (mandatory), water, and appropriate clothes for existing conditions. The parking lot for the Kresson Trails is off of Kresson Road, down from the Springdale/Kresson intersection. Look for the Kresson Trail signs on the double driveway.

Participants are asked to RSVP at any of the resources through the chapter's Meetup site, at Keswick Cycle, or to chtrailcrew at gmail dot com. Our Meetup site is at http://www.meetup.com/JORBA-CHAPTER-JERSEY-ACTION-RIDERS/
