JORBA Chapter Palisades MTB now has approval to help build 5 miles of new trail in Sterling Forest State Park. PMTB will contract with Tahawus, a professional trail-building company, to speed construction of the new mountain bike optimized trail.  This project will also require volunteers and additional funding to see it through to fruition. If you are interested in helping bring this new trail to life, please email Tom Hennigan at

NEW Augusta Mine Trail

Currently, Sterling Forest State Park is home to 8 miles of volunteer-built multi-use trails and is emblematic of the partnership PMTB has with local organizations like NYNJ Trail Conferences (TC) as well as state and local-level land managers in the Palisades Interstate Park Commission (PIPC).
