There will be a trail run at Jungle Habitat all day Saturday May 14th. Plan accordingly.

Heads up, Saturday 4/2 there is a trail run and the following weekend there is a mountain bike race. Plan accordingly.
Paiute Trail Section of Tapawingo
.
In October 2021, we started work on the Paiute Trout Trail, part of the Tapawingo Project. In consideration of our hiking partners, we set aside that project to prioritize the re-route of the old Hewitt-Butler Trail and connections to Jungle Habitat.
The Next Section of Tapawingo is Half Baked
.
Moving north along the old Hewitt-Butler trail just past Stags we encounter several unsustainable sections of trail. One way or the other they are unrideable. We are collaborating with our partners at the Trail Conference to come up with a plan to address this next.
Ryno Connection
.
Work on the Ryno connection to Tapawingo from Rhino, was completed in 2021. This is a slow speed technical expert trail with plenty of rock features. Pure Jungle riding.
Hippo Reroute
.
We will be finishing a small reroute around the perennially wet section at the bottom of Hippo. Work starts ASAP.
Tapawingo Project
.
A joint project with JORBA and NYNJTC the Tapawingo project will improve connectivity with Long Pond Ironworks State Park and Norvin Green State Forest. Work has completed Ryno, the first connection from Rhino in Jungle to Tapawingo. The next connection will be Stags, NJ’s first adaptive mountain bike trail.
Jungle Parking Lot Paving 8/16-17

The parking lot at Jungle Habitat will be paved Monday August 16th and off limits Tuesday the 17th. It will most likely reopen Wednesday.
National Trail Day Build at Jungle
